This Month in the Garden
With spring just round the corner there's lots to do in the garden. August is the prefect month for a winter tidy up.
Pruning time for Clematis, Wisteria, Hydrangeas, climbing and bush roses.
You can sow early seeds in your a nursey greenhouse or under a cloche (can be a DIY plastic bottle)
Plant Summer Bulbs
Plant gladiolus, paper daisies, dahlias in frost free areas
Sow Sweet Peas
Fairies need doors to enter their homes.
Perhaps you need a door for a fairy in your garden.
Most potato crops take about three months to mature, so need to be in the ground in September for a Christmas harvest.
All deciduous fruit trees can be planted in July, August and September while the plants are still dormant.
