Ticket Sales

Three-Day Festival Pass

We have made ticket purchases simpler for our upcoming festival than in previous years. There will be one Festival Pass for 3 days and no single-day ticket. The Festival Pass will allow you to visit as little or as often as you like, allowing you to work around weather or other commitments. 


Early Bird Tickets are on sale for $43 until 14 May 2023 before changing to $50 per pass. There will be no refunds and no group discounts. We are a volunteer group running the event on a small budget, so everyone must buy their Festival Pass.


Please think carefully before you purchase your tickets and review the festival terms & conditions. After purchasing, see additional information on the festival guidebook and how to access your ticket online through Eventbrite. 


  1. Entry to each garden is granted via a valid festival pass. Your festival pass is in the form of a lanyard and swing tag, which must be worn at all times. Each attendee will receive a lanyard tag and a printed A5 booklet with gardens and maps. Tags must be worn at all times during the garden visits and recycled at your last garden or returned to Palmers Garden Centre.

  2. No refunds for unused tickets or lost or misplaced lanyard tags. We are a volunteer group running the event on a small budget. So there will be no refunds. Please think carefully before you purchase your tickets.

  3. We are not responsible for the loss of your lanyard or the swing pass, which is your entry into the gardens. Keep them safe and close to you at all times.

  4. There are no group discounts. Every person needs to buy their own Festival Pass.

  5. All tickets must be ordered online.

  6. Should the festival be cancelled, notifications will be placed on the festival’s website and Facebook page as soon as possible. In the unlikely event that the festival is cancelled, we reserve the right to consider a refund.

  7. All gardeners have provided their gardens at no charge. Please respect the privacy of their homes.

  8. You will visit people’s private gardens as part of the festival. We expect you to be respectful and adhere to all instructions from the organisers and the garden owners.

  9. As each property is unique, please read the site hazard notice before you enter. You recognise that visiting gardens may be hazardous. The festival organisers or garden owners will not be liable for any injury you may sustain during the festival or for any loss or damage that may arise.

  10. Children under 16 must be supervised and accompanied by an adult while visiting the gardens.

  11. No pets are allowed on-site at any of the gardens.

  12. Do not remove plant material or property from the gardens.

  13. Do not litter. Take any rubbish with you.

  14. Recycle your lanyard- return yours at the last garden you visit.

  15. All goods for sale are cash only.

  16. You consent to the Festival organisers using any photos and videos that you may be captured during your garden visit. Additionally, you consent to use these photographs or videos for future Festival promotions and marketing purposes.

Terms & Conditions

Festival Guidebook Information

  • In mid-September, we will send you a downloadable digital copy of your guidebook so that you can plan your visit ahead.

  • From mid-October 2023, you can collect your Festival pack from the Festival Hub, Palmers garden centre Rotorua. As the festival approaches, we will send you news and updates on exact time frames.

  • You must provide proof of purchase when collecting your Festival pack on your phone or with a printed copy of your Eventbrite ticket.

  • If you wish to have your Festival packs posted to you, there will be an additional fee of NZ $10, AND you will need to order your Festival tickets before 1 September 2023.

  • The last date for ordering POSTED Festival packs with a printed guidebook is 1 September 2023.

Upon registering for an event on Eventbrite, an account linked to your email address is automatically created. To access your tickets, simply log in using the same email address and click on the "Tickets" option from the drop-down menu in your Eventbrite account.

To access your e-ticket from a desktop computer, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Eventbrite account on the Eventbrite website or app.

  2. Click on the "Tickets" tab in the screen's top right-hand corner.

  3. Locate the event you have purchased a ticket for and click on it.

  4. Click the "View Ticket" button to access your e-ticket.

  5. You can print your e-ticket or display it on your smartphone during the festival.
